A certain managing director whose money was stolen by his newly employed security guard and absconded took the police to court for their inability to arrest the suspect.

JUDGE: As police officers, a case of theft was allegedly reported to you but you failed on your duty to apprehend the fled suspect. True or false?
POLICE OFFICERS' SPOKESPERSON: My Lord, we couldn't arrest the fled suspect based on the complainant's statement which is as follows:
He said, he employed the security guard on Monday.
The security guard resumed duty on Tuesday.
The security guard walked round the compound on Wednesday.
He planned his target on Thursday.
He stole the money on Friday.
He fled on Saturday.
Chief reported the case to us on Sunday.
My Lord, as you can see, each incident took place on each day of the week. Since there are only seven days in a week, there was no other day for us to make the arrest.
The judge discharged and acquitted the police and struck out the case since there are only seven days in a week and the case can only be completed in eight days.
