THE REAL DUTY.

There was this notorious den where criminals hibernate.

The people began to call on the police to come down to raid them. One day, a detachment of anti robbery squad laid siege to the den. But the police dared not enter into the den. 

The following ensued between the police and the residents.

POLICE: You people have been calling on the police to come down. As you people can see, we are now here, fully ready.

RESIDENTS: Officers, you people have to go inside if not; your effort will be in futility.

POLICE: We don't need to go inside. You can see that they have been shut in. They will die of hunger. We can't go inside because we have been told that no law enforcement agent who goes inside will ever comes out.

And as you know, we are also humans not iron. But we are confident that they will definitely die of hunger since they have been shut in.

RESIDENTS : But officers, we have been seeing them inside the town drinking and enjoying themselves. They actually become invisible whenever they get to the spot where you people are.

POLICE: So, you people called us here to come and arrest spirits, , not so?

RESIDENTS: You wrote the following in front of your station: 

WE ARE THE SQUAD THAT DISMANTLE EVERY CRIMINAL. NO MATTER THE MAKE OF THE CRIMINAL. WE GO AFTER THEM TO WHATEVER PLACE THEY MAY BE HIDING. BE IN THE COVEN, SPIRIT LAND, MARINE ABODE, OUR SQUAD WILL FISH THEM OUT!

POLICE: We are all Nigerians. And we know the best system of building confidence. That is why a woman would cook rice in the Morning and about 6pm, she would still be shouting "HOT RICE" even when the rice is as cold as a dog nose. That write up in front of the station is a gimmick.
