SEEING AN ANCESTOR PHYSICALLY!

WHY THE URHOBO ETHNIC GROUP IN DELTA STATE CAN'T ABANDON THE WORSHIP OF THE ANCESTORS!

Long ago, an Urhobo guy went abroad in search of greener pastures at the age of twenty years.
After about six months of rigorous journey, he found himself in America. He was infested with joy.

A year later, an elderly lady fell in love with him. The lady was about eighty years old. She was very fond of him.
She took a very good care of him.
Apart from a big mansion that she bought for him, she also paid him about fifty thousand dollar monthly.

The guy began to send money down home for them to buy lands and establish companies. He also told the elders to continue to offer prayers of protection for him.
And so whenever the villagers want to celebrate their yearly festival of the worship of the ancestors, they would implore the ancestors to protect the guy.

They also buy yams, plantains and fish with the money he sent down and they used the items for cooking food for the celebration of the worship of the ancestors.

One year, the guy sent them a huge amount of money to buy food for the festival. The festival is usually celebrated for about a week.
On the third day of the festival, a certain pastor came to them and he admonished them against the worship of the ancestors. He told them that it was idolatry because the ancestors are dead and that is final and they can no longer appear to humans again or to be seen physically.

That same moment, their son who has been sending them all the money arrived the country with his elderly lover without telling his kinsmen that he was coming.

Suddenly, they saw their son entering into the village with his elderly lover who supported herself with a crook (walking stick)  They mistook her for an ancestor and they shouted to the pastor saying, "pastor, you lie! Look here comes one of the ancestors. You can see her physically with your eyes. That means that the ancestors are real! You failed and we won. She decided to come out to prove you wrong".

They began to cast raw eggs and wine at her. The elderly woman was bamboozled. She continued to scream, " You gaddem mother fucker! What do you nigga think you are doing! Bullshit men!  I gonna pump these fucking bullets into your crazy monkeys heads.  Gush! I am finished! " she said as she brought out a full loaded revolver pistol.

But to the people, the worship of the ancestors is real because they have seen one physically during the festival!
