Long ago, I befriended a lady. I was very found of her. We go outing together and do every other things together too. I spent a fortune on her to make her happy. But I knew that I was fetching water into a basket because she was at the same time befriending a soldier man.
One day, we went to a friend birthday party. Both of us were sitting down facing each other when suddenly, a young military officer approached us with about six military policemen escorting him. He hugged and kissed her passionately holding her very tightly to himself. Had it been it was a movie in which I paid money to watch, I won't regret it because I got the value of my money.
I just stood there watching like a zombie because I was like a goat in the midst of thousands of lions.
When he had done, he walked down to me and held my trousers and raised me up from my seat.
"Now, who is this good for nothing riffraff?" He asked her.
"Well, Darling, l don't know him. Since I came here to wait for you that he has been following about like he goat", she said.
"Are you saying that both of you didn't come down here together? Is he not your secret lover; because you ladies are full of surprises", the officer asked her.
" Hi, honey, what are you saying? How can I of all people bring myself so low to befriend a local thing like this? Don't you know me again? " she said to him.
He then told his boys to take me outside and teach me an unforgettable bitter lesson that I won't forget in a hurry if at all, I survived. They dragged me out roughly and I was beaten up and flogged black and blue. I spent up to three weeks in the hospital. Throughout my stay in the hospital, she showed up to apologize to me.
But after I was discharged, she came to me crawling on her knees pleading for pardon on the ground that had it been she said the truth, her own beating would have been more severe than mine. After about two months later, we settled and we continued our friendship. On Christmas day of the same year, she again denied me at a supermarket that she didn't know me and a mobile police officer also flogged hell out of me because if her. He then warned me to keep off from his girlfriend.
We also reconciled again after many months. One day, both of us went to a birthday party and as we were about to sit down, an arm robbery gang came up to us. They have smoked and taken hard drugs. They continued to go from seat to seat asking any guy they see with a lady if they are husband and wife. When they came to our seat, I told them that I don't know the lady.
I denied her flat and so they dragged her away and took turns on her. I ran home to sleep. The next day, good spirited individuals took her to hospital unconscious.
I later found out that they damaged her womb in the process and she can't give birth again.
