OIn a war situation, the loosing side would come on air and tell the public that they have captured almost all their opponent's strongholds. That all their opponent's armies are surrendering to them and they have captured hundreds and killed hundreds.
Whereas they are the one loosing and the hundreds that were either killed or captured are their own fighters. They would tell you that their enemies are sending messages of truce and peaceful resolution of the matter to them to ceasefire.
They would tell you that they have captured their enemies' cache of arms and cut off both their food and arms supplies and escape routes.
Whereas they are the one under heavy bombardment and who recorded heavy casualties and surrounded by their enemies.
In politics, during an election, you would hear the loosing party saying that, the results so far released shows clearly that they have won all the polling units with a wide margin and it is already a smooth victory without a stress as they had knocked out their opponent in a land victory.
They would come on air to say that they won with land victory because most of the opposition party supporters decamped and voted for them instead.
Whereas they are the one loosing! Whereas they are the one whose members are decamping! Whereas they have already lost the election!
A politician would come on air and make an announcement that he had empowered a rural community with about a thousand people with sewing machines, tricycles, and other social amenities worth billions of naira as part of his constituency projects.
Whereas the population of the community he mentioned is not more than fifty persons and the community have never seen him once let alone to have received anything from him.
