"NO NEW YEAR RESOLUTION"

It was December 31st and the church was packed filled to its capacity. The theme of the programme was "CROSS OVER TO THE NEW YEAR".

All the members have made their different new year resolutions except a man. The pastor then said to him, "brethren, you have not made your new year resolution, why?"

And the man said, "well, pastor. No need for new year resolution because as you are making the resolution, the world is looking and laughing at you. For example, last year at this time in this same church, my younger brother made three new year resolutions which were, to get married at the first quarter of the year, to build his house on the second quarter of the year and lastly to travel abroad at the third which was the last quarter of the year.

But on the first quarter, ailment came to him instead of wife. On the second quarter of the year, death visited him instead of house and on the third quarter, he travelled to the cemetery instead of abroad.

That is the reason why people hardly fulfill their resolutions yearly because man proposes and nature disposes".
