"YES, LOVE IS A BLIND SPIRIT!"

DAUGHTER: Daddy, today in the school we were taught in sex education class that love is blind. How true is this belief? How did love that we can't see become blind?

FATHER: It is true my daughter. Love so blinded my eyes hence l had three accidents when l was wooing your mother to marry me. Love so blinded my eyes hence l didn't see clearly to know that your mother is as ugly as a vulture.

I was beaten with sticks several times by your mother's father for coming into his compound late at night!

But look the woman who made me to received all the accidents and beatings! She is not worth it.

That is a clear indication that love is indeed blind!

DAUGHTER: Since we are so close today, let me use this opportunity to tell you. There is this Hausa mallam that sells roasted meat ( SUYA ) along the road to my school.

Although, he is a cripple. He sits on a wheelchair to sell the suya. He says he loves me. Daily he gives me delicious roasted meat. I also love him. He is the man after my heart!

FATHER: My daughter, that is,  like father like daughter!

Because love blinded my eyes l married an ugly woman; now the same love has blinded my daughter to fall in love with a cripple!

Who can openly argue that love is not blind!

My daughter, love was blinded from birth!
