TROUBLE DON TIE IGHELE!

There is this trend in the South west of Nigeria, especially in Lagos whereby land grabbers would just encroached into a piece of land that is not theirs and start to develop it. 

There was this Delta man who has been in Lagos since he was a teenager. He was one of the land grabbers in Lagos. He finally returned home to Delta state. He was very surprised to see many lands undeveloped in his village.

There was one particular land spanning to four plots which was left undeveloped for years. One day, he walked to the land and asked some men who live closer to the land why the owner has not developed it.

They told him that the owner had died and his children were nowhere to be found. He became immediately excited. He decided to grab the land and so he gave the sum of fifty thousand naira to those whom he enquire of the owner from and left.

Within a month, he has started the development of the land. After about two years, he built a magnificent plaza of about six hundred capacity on it costing him almost a billion naira. He then sets a day for its commissioning.

On that day, he came with a huge crowd only for him to meet those men whom he gave fifty thousand naira to,  now fully dressed up in their traditional wrappers and lace with hats to match seated comfortably.

They told him that the land was actually theirs but they could not developed it due to lack of money and since he has helped them to developed it, they were there to thank him for his kindness. He told them that if it was a joke, they should stop it because he doesn't joke with his money.

He told them that Delta is learning and that they should go and ask about his antecedent in Lagos. He told them that he would put all of them in an everlasting jail and that he gave them twenty hours to vacate his property or else they would have themselves to blame.

They told him that in Delta, unlike Lagos, they don't joke with their land as any trespasser may be sentenced to an everlasting sleep without waking up. He dared them and they sentenced him to an everlasting sleep and they inherited the plaza.
