Some Tertiary institutions in Nigeria are fond of awarding honorary degree to anybody who shows great concern to it.
Once upon a time, a certain stark illiterate politician donated trailers of dried fish and meat, garri, plantains and bananas, yams, beans and rice to a certain university.
The authority of the university then conferred an honorary degree of PhD in agriculture to him for his gestures.
He became very proud. Anywhere he goes, he boasts with the degree.
One day, he travelled abroad and in the course of introducing him at a meeting, he was referred to as a man who bragged PhD in agriculture.
After the meeting, some journalists interviewed him and one said to him, "sir, as a man who had PhD in agriculture, which areas of specialization in agriculture do you belong?"
And he said, "well, drying of fish and meat, frying of plantains ( KPEKERE ) selling of firewood and cutting of timbers".
The journalist collapsed and fainted
