Mr Kamen, a fifty year old man bought a standing fan for N20,000. But he decided to wait until his daughters who were in the university come down home before fixing it.
When his daughters finally came, they told him that they already bought one and so they won't need it.
He then took it back to the shop where he bought it. The following conversation then ensued.
MR KAMEN: Good morning.
SELLER: Good morning sir, how may we help you?
MR KAMEN: I bought this standing fan from you two months ago. But l no longer need it. I want to sell it back to you.
SELLER: Alright sir, how much did you buy it?
MR KAMEN: N20,000.
SELLER: I will give you N10, 000.
MR KAMEN: Why would you pay me N10,000 for what l bought from you N20,000?
SELLER: Because it is second hand, fairly used.
MR KAMEN: I have not even opened it let alone to have used it. Then, it can't be second hand or fairly used.
SELLER: Sir, whether you used it or not, it is already second hand or fairly used. QED.
MR KAMEN: You can't call it second hand or fairly used since it has not been used. I want you to tell me the name that a product that was bought but was not used is called in English Language.
SELLER: It is called BALABLU.
MR KAMEN: Alright, balablu. That is good.
Back home. My daughters, they said it is BALABLU which means, second hand or fairly used😤
