The man decided to give the boy the best education.
But the boy was dull academically and also very lazy!
But not withstanding, the parents were up and doing trying all they could to raise him up a graduate.
They pushed him through primary school with great difficulties. His parents told him that it is either he goes to school or nothing for him. Now, when he saw his parents' action, he decided to play along with them.
To avoid constant monitoring, he begged his parents to allow him to stay in boarding house throughout his secondary school which his parents wholeheartedly agreed to.
Throughout his secondary school, he never brought any of his results to his parents. But his parents continue to invest heavily on him. His father told him that the time he would checkmate him to make sure that his investment in him was not in vain will be when he would come to the family with his NYSC uniform. Then it would be cleared to him that all the investment was not in vain.
He continued demanding for money time to time.
His parents spent a fortune for him to gain admission into the university. After about two years, he told his parents that he had finally gained admission into the university!
For six years, his parents spent millions on his education, clothing, feeding and paying his school fees. But all the while he never attended any secondary school let alone the university!
He squandered all the money on clothes and women!
Meanwhile his parents had calculated when he would graduate from the university!
Himself knew that his parents were waiting to see him come home with his NYSC uniform. When the zero hour came he knew that he can no longer deceive his parents any more and so he hatched a plan!
He got an old worn out pairs of NYSC shoes. He also got a combat pairs of trousers but the T-shirt with the NYSC logo became the problem!
However he bought a white T-shirt and he asked an artist to crest the NYSC logo on it.
The artist also doesn't know the abbreviations and logo of the NYSC and so he just crest the following on it:
NIHFMP and he gave it to him. He took it happily but later, he realized that the abbreviations was not that of the NYSC and he asked another artist to give any meaning to the abbreviations, NIHFMP in words and print it on the uniform.
The artist realizing the dirty games he was playing his parents wrote the meaning as follows:
NIHFMP
NOW I HAVE FAILED MY PARENTS.
He then gave it to the illiterate young man!
His joy knew no bound!
He puts it on, carried his bag and off he left to see his parents!
His parents were joyous when they saw him from afar coming majestically.
He was well received by his parents and family friends.
But one of the family's friends who was a graduate drew the parents' attention to the the write-ups on the T-shirt.
He told them that the uniform was not that of the NYSC.
The second day, the parents dragged him to the headquarters of the NYSC to ascertain whether the uniform was from them or not.
The NYSC Director General told the parents that the uniform was not from them.
The parents threatened to arrest him and punish him severely because he had failed them.
But the Director General told them not to arrest him because he had already confessed his guilty!
He told them that the abbreviations of HIHFMP on his shirt means: NOW I HAVE FAILED MY PARENTS.
His parents told him that they will disown him except he pays back all that they spent on him.
The next day, he brought a young boy of about two years old as the dividends of all the money his parents spent on him. He said that the boy is his son!
His parents took the boy and they said, "Now, we are replacing you with this boy. And they gave him a T-shirt with an abbreviations of 'WHGYRNGAD"
Below the abbreviations was: WHGYRNGAD means, "WE HAVE GOTTEN YOUR REPLACEMENT NOW GO AND DIE"
