NEVER UNDERESTIMATE ANY BODY.

Long ago, there lived a labourer named Aro in a village called Uyama. In this village also lived a trader named Botiti. She had a shop in front of her house. She has an attitude which was so irritating to every body in the village. If someone does a job for her or she buys anything from someone, she would tell the person to take goods worth the money from her shop in the form of trade by barter instead of paying you in cash. One day she employed the services of Aro to mend the dilapidated roof of her house. The job lasted for three days. Both of them agreed on twenty dollar wages. Aro who   was well familiar with her system of payment decided to play a fast one on her. After he had done the job, Botiti for the very first time paid cash to Aro. Something that she had never done to any body. But Aro told her that he preferred to take goods instead of cash payment. She then accepted his conditions of payment. Then he took some goods and left. He continued to come to the shop every two days to collect goods. Some days she normally goes to the market to buy goods which she sells in her shop. And so she told him that any time he comes and she is not around, he can collect any thing he wants from the shop as far it is open. When Aro heard this from Botiti, he became infested with joy. He thought he would use this opportunity to cheat Botiti by taking goods thrice that of his money. Unknown to him, Botiti has mandated a woman who was her neighbour to keep watch over the shop any time she goes to the market. She also told her to secretly take an account of everything Aro takes on her behalf. When ever Aro comes and finds out that Botiti was not around, he would beam with smile and packs goods worth ten dollar at once. He never knew that he was been monitored. He continued to take goods for two months without any challenge from Botiti. Then one day, he told his friends that he has a shop where things are given to him free. And for the avoidance of doubt they should follow him down there to drink as much as they can and they can also take anything they like when going home. And ten of his friends followed him down there to the shop. Each of them drunk three bottles of beer with fried meat. After eating and drinking, each of them took some goods as they left. They were very happy. Aro walked two feet taller in the village as his friends became proud of him. He began to boast to his friends that he can even take all the villagers to his new shop to eat and drink anything they want. A week after the shopping with his friends, he came there again in a car owned and driven by one of his friends to eat meat and drink beer. After eaten and drinking, they packed some goods into a big nylon bag and they headed for the car. Just then Botiti called to them. When they came, she told Aro that it was time to calculate the amount of all the goods that he had so far taken and subtract his twenty dollars from it. Botiti calculated her money to be four hundred dollar. And she subtracted his twenty dollar wages from the total money. And she ordered her henchmen to seize the car which they brought. She told Aro to pay the money within twenty four hours or they will fufeit the car. And his friend who brought the car told him that he will burn him alive should anything happens to his car. And Aro said to the woman. "Madam, l thought you were a fool. I never knew l am the bigger fool."
