TORTOISE AND THE WISE KING

In those days women were fewer than men and so four to five men could marry a woman. If she is pregnant for the first man and put to bed for him, then she will go to the second man to have a child for him. And so she would go round to have child for the number of men she was married to. Now tortoise was blessed with many daughters and so he capitalized on the scarcity  of women to use his daughters to dupe and wreck men. He put a high fees as a consultation fee. When he had duped the people he became the richest man on the land yet none of his daughters was given out to be married. At last he and his wife made a big house-tray and he put the children inside and they began to hawk them. As they walk from village to village they shout. “All you men without wives, “All you bachelors! The most beautiful virgin girls on earth will be yours all alone if you can pay for her. It is better for a man to have his own wife and not to share your wife with another man. So go into the forest and clear more farmlands and plant more crops. Sell your farms and use the proceeds to marry the most beautiful girl on earth. The advantage is that you can even marry up to two girls yourself.” And he used his daughters to impoverish the people. He gets to a village where there were no males. Only females and before he enter the village he adorned himself beautifully like a woman so that he could be allowed to live there. He used that ploy to sleep with all the ladies; he duped kings and the rich. His cunny knew no bound but he later paid dearly. Find out how it all ended with his tricks.
